Driving Change: How Kinaxia Shifted Sustainability into Top Gear

The Challenge
For Kinaxia Logistics, sustainability is a fundamental part of the journey, not just a bolt-on. And leading that charge is Adele Wiseman, National Sustainability Manager, who’s laser-focused on embedding a carbon-conscious culture across one of the UK’s most dynamic logistics networks.
“Success is embedding a carbon-conscious culture throughout Kinaxia,” says Adele, “increasing awareness of our environmental, social and governance responsibilities and taking the necessary steps to decarbonise operations and reduce our environmental impact. Supported by True, we have submitted our ESOS Action Plan and are focusing on improving our EcoVadis and CDP scores.”
But with 1,000 vehicles, 15 sites and a requirement to help customers decarbonise their supply chains, Kinaxia needed more than good intentions. They needed a roadmap and a co-pilot to help them navigate it.
The Roadblock: Complexity at Every Turn
Before True, Kinaxia had sustainability ambitions but needed additional support to help implement initiatives around reducing its energy usage and boosting renewable energy procurement.
And with Adele in a crucial role – managing ESG disclosures, stakeholder comms and supporting the business with a long-term strategy – there was no buffer. No break. Just a mountain to climb and the clock ticking.
Yet the targets were no less ambitious. Kinaxia needed to measure and manage emissions, meet regulatory requirements like ESOS, and begin building the cultural and operational foundations to support a future-fit net zero strategy, all while keeping pace with the demands of a fast-moving logistics business.

True Joins the Convoy
From day one, the True Crew came in not as consultants, but as an extension of Kinaxia’s team. And the first win was a big one.
By moving Kinaxia’s portfolio onto a more strategic energy supply contract and eliminating bloated contract management fees, True helped unlock an immediate £70,000 in annual savings - money that could now be reinvested in decarbonisation projects with real impact.
Next stop: compliance. Together, we delivered Kinaxia’s ESOS Phase 3 Action Plan, progress update and reporting, not just ticking boxes, but building a solid foundation for long-term decarbonisation.
Then came visibility. With all 15 sites onboarded to the True Platform, Adele could now see emissions and energy usage across the business in one place - Scope 1, 2 and 3 mapped, measured and ready for reporting.
True made it easier to act decisively, whether it was vetting suppliers, modelling ROI, or presenting to the board. And as the list of sustainability goals expanded - EcoVadis, CDP, carbon literacy training, carbon footprinting, LED refits, Belper solar assessments - we were right there, side-by-side.
