A fully funded project can be achieved through the use of a PPA meaning the total cost of a project is met by an investor, typically a renewable energy investment fund who then recovers their cost through selling the renewable energy generated to the energy user.

Lease financing can be applied to an energy efficiency or energy generation project and are typically structured so repayments are less than the gross energy cost saving. This means that a project is cash positive from point of installation with the total of the asset passing to the energy user at the end of the term.

A PPA is the agreement between two parties to buy and sell power. A CPPA is a PPA but the generation will not be local to the energy user’s facility, meaning that the power does enter the grid and therefore attracts any non-commodity charges that apply.

Heat Pumps are electrically powered devices that extract heat from the air, ground or water from outside a building and convert it into usable heat.
