Earlier this month at our inaugural Partner Day at Bank in Birmingham, we caught up with our partner, Prestige Purchasing to find out how working with True Group has helped them deliver better services for their customers.
Prestige Purchasing is a UK‑based, independent procurement consultancy specialising in the hospitality, catering and foodservice markets. With over 25 years’ experience, they leverage deep market insight, data analytics and expert supplier negotiation to help operators build efficient, resilient supply chains, achieving sustainable cost savings without sacrificing quality or service.
Their mission to improve commercial performance while enabling long‑term resilience aligns closely with our own — helping organisations cut carbon and costs on the path to net zero. Together, we support businesses across hospitality and foodservice to make smarter decisions, faster. From energy procurement to ingredient sourcing, our combined expertise brings transparency, efficiency and sustainability to the forefront of commercial strategy.
Here's what they had to say.
Q: How does the partnership with True Group help Prestige deliver even more value to the hospitality operators?
For us, it’s really about completing the picture. We are F&B specialists, we focus on the supply chain and look at where we can get commercial savings, but also at how we work with supplier relationships.
Where we turn to your expertise is in tackling what is sometimes the third largest cost line on the P&L — beyond the food and beverage element. It’s often overlooked and very difficult for non-experts to understand. That’s why we really value the expert intervention that comes with our partnership with you. It delivers excellent commercial savings, which are much needed.
Q: What's the biggest part of Prestige’s service that tends to create the 'we should’ve done this ages ago' moment?
It’s really the gap we’re able to highlight for them. A lot of hospitality operators feel they’ve got a really good price on an item, but that’s often without any data to compare it to.
They’ll agree a good price, but can’t benchmark it. There might be a small gap at first, but over time that can grow into a chasm. We come in and show them what they could be saving on individual lines, prices that looked good at the start can drift significantly. That difference can add up to a huge amount.
The data and insight we bring, the ability to compare their prices against the wider market, is often a real light bulb moment. A real wow factor for them.
